Video playback and high CPU load

When playing a video on your computer, the CPU (main computer chip) in your computer works very hard at making that video appear on your screen.  Playing video on your PC or mobile device is what they call a "CPU-intensive" event.

Therefore, for a better video playback experience, follow this advice:

  • limit the number of other applications that are require extensive CPU usage.  For example, watching two videos at the same time is not good for either video playback.
  • make sure your computer or device's power-setting is at "high performance", which will allow the maximum CPU processing power to occur.
